How It Works:

You are responsible for the care of your horse. You would join our chores roster and put in your share of work (for example, turn-out one day of the week). We as a group make sure all the horses are turned out and in as specified by the owners. You are responsible for putting hay and water in your horse's paddock as well as cleaning your stall daily and providing clean bedding, fresh water and hay (and feed) for your horse at your own expense.

We do have an experienced and knowledgeable horseperson supervising to ensure the horse's needs are being met but you are responsible for the health care of your horse (grooming, deworming, shots, farrier visits, checkups, and any other veterinary care) as well as any other expenses relating to your horse.

This is a great opportunity to really understand what owning a horse or running a farm is really about.
